ICD Clutter-Hoarding Scale
Developed by ICD, the Clutter-Hoarding Scale is used to assess the severity of disorganization in a home. Although used mostly by professionals, the scale has an intuitive design that can be used by a wide range of individuals. It ranges from level I with standard and little to no clutter to level V characterized by uninhabitable living conditions. It is free to download and is available in eight languages. Note, this is not to be used to diagnose. If you or someone you know is at level IV or V, seek intervention from an organizing professional who specializes in hoarding disorder. This, in addition to support from a licensed mental health provider, generally produces the most effective long-term outcome.
ICD Clutter Quality of Life Scale
Developed by ICD, the Clutter Quality of Life Scale (CQLS) is an self-assessment tool designed to help one measure the extent and implications of overabundance. The user indicates how each of 18 statements reflects their own experience .
